Seattle, WA - January 24, 2010 - C Art Gallery will host an exhibit February 21 - March 28 with an artist reception Thursday March 4, 2010 recognizing the diversity of women and celebrating Women's History Month. The exhibit will feature work in various mediums by 15 artists inspired by the work of Washington State Poet Laureate Mona Lake Jones and in particular her poem "A Room Full of Sisters" A room full of sisters like jewels in a crown Vanilla, Cinnamon, and Dark Chocolate Brown...... They were smart, articulate and well-read With all kinds of history stored in their heads Jugglers of professions, managers of lives Mothers of children, lovers and wives (poem excerpt) Artists featured in the exhibit include; Beverly Shaw Starkovich, Sue Gill Rose, Jacqui Beck, Esperanza Grundy, Eric D. Salisbury, Shirley Rudolf, Mary Mac Dahlke, Cheryl Richey, Jennifer Tucker, Deborah Espinoza, Karen Champion, Noura El-Kordy, Lita Kenyan, Judith Smith and Reagan Jackson. C Art Gallery is located at 855 Hiawatha Place South, Seattle. The mission of the gallery is to expose and promote artists of different cultural backgrounds to diverse audiences.
