About this festival
On Saturday, November 7th, 2009 Smithville will host one of the largest events in its history, the Smithville Music and Arts Festival featuring legendary blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan. Riverbend Park is the place to be for this all-day event that mixes the performing arts with a myriad of family activities for a blend of eclectic entertainment.
This dual-stage outdoor venue will feature rock, gospel, country, and blues acts throughout the day leading up to headliner Jimmie Vaughan Saturday night. Enjoy a cold beverage with friends as you relax under the giant oak trees at Riverbend Park or browse the car show, take in some activities at Family Play Day, or compete in the 42 tournament. Grab a bite to eat at one of our many concession booths serving a variety of offerings from native to international and from organic to dangerously delectable.
Tickets are available by calling 512-237-2313 or visiting Front Gate Tickets website. Tickets are $15 pre-sale, $5 with military ID, or $20 at the gate. Festival runs from 11 am to midnight.
This first-of-its-kind concert for Smithville will benefit community non-profit groups addressing health care, education, promotion of the arts, and conservation. Be there as the legend is born! Come get your blues on with Jimmie Vaughan at the first annual Smithville Music and Arts Festival!
