About this festival

More than 130 authors will appear at the 11th annual Fall for the Book Festival, September 21-26 with events at George Mason University's Fairfax, Virginia Campus and throughout Northern Virginia, D.C. and Maryland. Headliners include novelists Sherman Alexie, E.L. Doctorow, and James Ellroy, and the full festival covers a wide range of genres: history, mystery, poetry, politics, folklore, fairy tales, children's books and more -- with special events devoted to the bicentennial of Edgar Allen Poe's birth, to writing and publishing in the 21st century, and to "Mind-Body Healing" in the context of the continuing healthcare crisis.
