Mozart in the South

Celebrate classical music in Charleston! This four day festival (September 10-13, 2009) presents family and educational events alongside chamber music and orchestral performances of the highest caliber. Highlighting the festival are performances by musicians of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music Charleston. Little Mozart Circus ? September 12 from 10am-3:30pm Bring your whole family to the Little Mozart Circus, a one day event celebrating classical music and its role in the lives of children! Enjoy performances in the ?Big Tent? by professional musicians and school ensembles, participate in a beginning instrumental class or join the Kinder Orchestra or Kinder Percussion Ensemble to experience music making in a group setting. An array of private instrumental teachers and representatives from music organizations will be available to display their offerings and answer questions.
