Agat Mango Festival - Guam USA

AGAT is well known for the abundance of Mango trees that thrive along the village. The Agat Mango Festival is a once a year event celebrating the Mango and our local cultures. The event takes place in the beautiful village of Agat and nestles between the green volcanic hills and on the shore of the Nimitz beach Park. Prior to the festival on 20 June 09 the 5k Mango Run/Walk signals the coming of the Mango Festival and then the main event takes off on the 26th-29 June 2009. This festival is sure to please your senses since there are many events. Here are some of the activities that you can see and do at the festival; Mango Run/Walk, Paddle Race, Mango Cookoffs, Mango Contests, Mango Demonstrations, Workshops, Local Music Entertainment, Dances, and Games. If you are interested in local arts and goods, then be sure to visit the booths for a variety of art, products, food and fun. If you prefer to be entertained by local artist, you are in for many treats. Our talented local artists are ready to entertain you each day. Other activities will include the crowning of the Mr. and Miss Mango Festival, games and activities for both adults and family. It will be Mangoes of Fun for everyone. This 3rd year of festivities will bring more delicious mangoes and activities then the previous 2 years The last 2 years were very successful and drew many to the Village of Agat - Gateway to the South. Anticipating the growing popularity of the last 2 years of the Mango Festival, event organizers are preparing to make this event even better!
