Visionary Canadian director Robert Lepage returns to the COC for the first time since his award-winning production of Bluebeard-s Castle/Erwartung. The Nightingale and Other Short Fables draws on storytelling traditions culled from both ancient and contemporary culture, incorporating the charm and mystery of southeast Asian puppetry. This visually arresting program will receive its world premiere in Toronto and is designed to delight audience members of all ages.
