Word-Wide ESL Institute Guest Speaker Series 2009

Word-Wide ESL Institute is involved in the community, and our community is involved in our school. Join us: June 23 - Colleen Dietzel, owner of The Green Store, a unique California-original resource center and library for green living and peace. July 16 - Pat James, owner of the James Gang Graphisc and Chairman of the Ocean Beach Historical Society. Pat's a mover and shaker in OB and personifies how individuals can make positive changes in our community. August 3 - Noah Tafolla, Documentary Filmmaker of the Wonderland Series that airs regularaly on KPBS television in San Diego. From selling frozen bananas to being a sough-after flmmaker, Tafolla makes a documentary worth watching and is always inspiring to our students. September 14 - Mike Hardin, owner of Hodad's, the best place on earth for a real hamburger and old-fashioned malted milk shake. Hardin loves the world and tells us his secrets to success. October 7 - Heidi Cohen-Wolff, Humane education offerring compassionate solutions that work for humans, animals and the environment. Ms. Cohen-Wolff was a favorite among our students last year.
