Please join us for the ?250th Anniversary and Jubilee Celebration? of the historic town of Bethania, NC, the first planned Moravian settlement in North Carolina, throughout the weekend of June 12 - 14 , 2009.
Friday, June 12th, 7:00 PM till 10:00 PM - Bring a chair and enjoy an outdoor concert at Historic Bethania-s Visitor Center with performances by the Moravian Brass Band and the King Moravian Church Choir followed by ?Tin Can Alley?, playing Soul, R&B and Classic Rock. Wine, hard cider and after dinner hours devours tasting will be available. There is no charge.
Saturday, June 13th, 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM Bethania have 18th century trades and skills demonstrations at the Visitor Center, personal tours through town sharing the history of Moravians and Bethania, Bethania Historical Association and Bethania Moravian Church will be open, area artist and craftsmen plying their wares on the porches and yards of the residents of Bethania, food and beverages and horse drawn wagon rides.
Sunday, June 14th Bethania Moravian Church will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary With a Communion Service at 11:00 AM and a Lovefeast at 5:00PM. Both services will include the Hand Bell Choir and the Moravian Band. All services are open to the public.
