Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire

May 9th and 10th, 2009 we will be celebrating another year of Auburn's very own Renaissance Faire. Designed as a replica of a merry olde English town in the late 1500's, the townsfolk of Cain's Crossing are jubilant upon the arrival of Queen Elizabeth on her progress through the area. Beautiful Cain's Crossing is set along a trade-route where peoples from countries near and far gather to offer food and drink and wares to the visitors who come to enjoy the merriment of this festive occasion. Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire is a non-profit corporation that raises funds for the Auburn Education Foundation. Our purpose is to create an educational event for 7th graders in Placer and Nevada Counties who are studying the Renaissance period. In addition, we also aim to create a family-oriented community event which helps parents experience what their children are learning in school.
