Gator by the Bay

Gator By the Bay, San Diego’s 7^th Annual Zydeco & Blues Festival brings the heart and soul of the Louisiana bayou to San Diego over Mother’s Day weekend, May 10 & 11, 2008.  Lively festivities take place both days from 10:30 am till 8:00 pm. 

This spirited, 2-day music & food festival for the whole family features an impressive variety of music and entertainment.  9 nationally known Cajun and Zydeco bands, 10 Blues/Swing/Country bands and 20 community acts will rock the boards on multiple stages. Shaded dance floors, free dance lessons, as well as Cajun and Creole food can be enjoyed. Cooking demonstrations with samples to rival yo’ mamma’s cookin’, cultural and music workshops, Mardi Gras parades, artisan vendors and supervised arts & crafts for kids will turn Spanish Landing Park into a Mardi Gras in May. Gator By The Bay has been acclaimed as one of the finest Cajun/Zydeco festivals in the country!
